I began this journey so many years ago. I look back to the path I traveled and wonder, what if? What if I had had the advice that has been given in the books I have written? Would my path have changed? Could my words have impacted me?
I will never know, but I hope you take the chance to see if they might impact your life. Maybe in some small way the words in these books will help ease your suffering or bring you a sense of peace. Or at least let you know you are not alone.
When I wrote my first book, I looked at it a little differently then most. I left out a blank page at the beginning 'to help save trees', and I did it in big bold type to 'help those of us that don't have the best eyes anymore'. I did not worry over much with 'proper grammar' as I wanted to 'talk' to people. I labeled the chapters in both books as 'Lessons' instead, for rather than telling stories, they speak of things I have learned in my more than half a century of life. I hope as I grow even older, there will be many more lessons to learn, though I pray they come a little easier!
May you find some small amount of peace in these words. May you hear my whispers around you as you read, and may peace surround you always.
"For My Grand-Daughter, "Chea Anne" who never got to know her 'Dammy'..but who I hope someday finds the first book and understands that every word, every thought and every sigh found within happened with her in my mind and in my heart....And for my Granddaughters Leigha Kate and Tesslyn Grace who remind me to fight every day to overcome pain with happiness."
